SUMMER!! (So Far)

I am literally the worst blogger in the world, ok so I haven't posted in nearly 2 months and my last post was from my failed attempt at Sprinkle of Glitter's 30 day snap (which I feel pants about). But it's now mid August and I'm ready to commit to blogging properly. So I have many valid excuses for not blogging in so long but its mainly been that I have been very busy and not at home much since June, but in this post I'm going to share what I've been doing and I hope you like it :P 

  My summer started early (kind of):

I have been classing my summer as the time between June and now, because in June I got to go to the Shetlands (a teeny tiny island off Scotland) for 2 weeks. I went there to do my work experience I did stay with my lovely Aunty, Uncle and cousin and it didn't feel like I was there for work, even though I was working 8:30am till 5:30pm.

I have never gone on so many walks in my life, this walk was an especially windy one!

It was great to see my family who live there because it is so far away, 2 planes or a day long drive and a 12 hour boat ride (I went for the planes), and I don't get to see them much at all. And I had a really great work experience.

When I got back I had one week at home to see my friends and family, so me and my 3 of my closest pals decided to do something super fun and we went to the sealife centre in Birmingham. We also took my cutie pie little cousin :P

I loved the walk through tunnel, with all the fish (and scary sharks) swimming all around you.

After my week at home it was time to go again, this time to the other end of the UK than The Shetlands. CORNWALL! My favorite place in the world, and I was going there to spend 2 weeks with my other Aunty and Uncle and my fave little cuties my cousins. Again I love spending anytime I can with them because I don't see them much because they live miles away. 

We spent loads of time on the beach <3

This time I wasn't able to go home between different holidays, I went straight from family to a campsite.

Camping was the next part of the adventure, I jumped on a train which took me to meet up with my momma, one of my bestest pals Laura and the rest of the camping crew (we are too cool). I love going camping, I don't really know why because it's essentially everything I hate in the world: being outside, nature, not having the cleanest of toilet facilities and not having a real bed! But we had a right laugh, meeting new people and just doing the most random things ever. Like going to the beach, defacing Smurfs and then bring them with us everywhere, snapchats, going to Flambards and taking pictures of people sleeping on the train.

And it wasn't long before I was home again and what else would I do but throw a party-thingy. So I could see all my pals at once :D

Once we had all recovered it was time to see the family, my Uncle and Cousin who I stayed with in The Shetlands came down for a week so I spent a lot of time at my Nans.

I have really loved my summer so far and I'm hoping the end wont be boring :/ I've got some big decisions to make and I'm going to be blogging a whole lot more.

Oops :/ I missed 2 days :( my bad. Yesterday I didn't realise that my post didn't upload :/ So to make up for it I've got three pictures for you today, I've been sat reading for ages in my amazing batman pjs :D 

Today I saw the weirdest sign up on a vending machine in college and it really made me chuckle :P

30 Day Snap: Day 10

Today the pictures I ordered for my wall came and I have spent the last half an hour putting them up. I think this feature is starting to come together nicely and I can't wait to finish it :D 

30 Day Snap: Day 9

Today I saw an amazing band at a park concert that I went to with my momma, Tim and my brother. They were a really cool reggae band called Tempting Rosie and I loves them :D 

30 Day Snap: Day 8

Ok I know it's officially the 9th now but since I haven't gone to sleep this can count as the 8th ;) so today was pretty uneventful but I spent this evening watch old films with my momma, Tim and the dog (who fell asleep). It was quite fun actually and we had a laugh :D 

30 Day Snap: Day 7

Whilst sitting in the park today getting rather burnt, one of my pals brought me this branch/flower thing and I thought it was really pretty. Until I found all the creepy crawlies lurking inside it ;) 

30 Day Snap: Day 6

Today was the first day of my colleges progression week :( Which is where we learn about our different options after we finish college. This part of  the day was sooo boring but as this week is compulsory I got to see all my friends together again after our exam period. I got to see one of my friends who was practically none existent over the exam period :P I had a right laugh and it was brill to see everyone today

30 Day Snap: Day 5

Ok so today I have 2 'snaps' for you, the first is of my exam timetable ripped up because... MY EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!! (For this year at least) but I don't care I'm so looking forward to summer now :D

And now for the second which is of the lovely dinner I made my brother :D he was taking ages to come downstairs so I thought I would make a face out of it ;)

30 Day Snap: Day 4

Revision, Revision, Revision :/ This is all I've been doing today, it's so boring but the exam is tomorrow and then I will be done for the year :D I will have more time to blog after this, which is great!

30 Day Snap: Day 1

Today I haven't really done much but I'm currently at my bestest pals Amber's house and earlier we were talking to her boyfriend about how he should make a ring pillow. (Back story) he was asking what to do if he has broken his coccyx, and moaning about the fact he couldn't sit down. So I suggested he made a pillow ring, he didn't take me advice so we took a picture of me in a pillow ring to send to him! To show him what a brilliant idea it was. 

Books!

I love reading when I get the chance and a while ago I treated myself to a few new books :D They are either books that I've been wanting to read for ages, because of films or reviews, or books that amazon suggested to me. Now I have only read 2 of them but I'm super excited to read the others because I've heard great things about them.

I will start with my favourite of all of them (so far), which is Perks of Being a Wallflower! This just happens to be my favourite film as well, and the book is just so good I cant really put it in to words.

This is an amazing book about a boy called Charlie and it is written in the form of letters, which gives it a personal feel. It's like Charlie is writing to you telling you about his life. I wont say much about the story in case you haven't read it or seen the film but it is such a good story and it did make my cry :'( It is also where my favourite quote comes from "and I swear in that moment we were infinite". I would recommend that everyone reads Perks of Being a Wallflower time and time again.

Next book is The Silver Linings Playbook, which I haven't read but is the next one on my list :P I have also seen the film which is brilliant and I love it. I am really looking forward to reading it.

      The Time Traveler's Wife is another book that has made me cry (it doesn't really take much to make me cry). It's so original and brilliant that I am defiantly going to read it again. Also this is another book that the film made me want to read. :D

 The Future of Us is a book I had never heard of before, but the description on amazon really drew me in. It's about two best friends who discover Facebook 8 years before it has been invented. This really intrigued me and I'm super excited to read it.

I fell for the hype, so many people have been talking about The Fault in Our Stars and I just couldn't resist buying it to see what everyone was talking about. Now I haven't read it yet but as soon as I do there will probably be a blog post about it :D

And finally The Notebook. I have never read it but after watching the film for the first time at the beginning of the year I had to buy the book. I love the film and I'm sure the book is going to be just as good if not better.

Last thing I wanted to show some of the other books I enjoy/enjoyed to read.

I really do love to read and I own a lot of books, some of my favourites are The Hunger Games (obviously), The Vampire Academy series, The Twilight Saga and The Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging set by Louise Rennison (which actually made my cry with laughter).   

 

I'm so excited to start reading all the new books and I will keep you posted on what I think of them.
